Join Our Festival Committee

The Committee meets throughout the year to plan the Festival.
Each member brings an experienced skill set to help the Festival take flight.


Field Event & On-Call Volunteers

Field event volunteers will take on several administrative tasks in the field, including checking people in and having them sign our liability waiver, assisting our guides with group management, taking event photos, and communicating with our team, attendees, guides, and more.

Field Volunteer Training Slides

  • Be able to multi-task in an outdoor environment with various elements, personality types, and climates. 

  • Be physically able to participate in the event they sign up for, and sign a liability event waiver. 

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a friendly and positive attitude, including speaking in front of a group, and able to provide basic customer service, including assisting participants with festival info, or directions.

  • Be able to take direction from EAC Staff, Board, or guides in the field. 

  • Have transportation to and from event sites, and be able to pick up and drop off volunteer packets before and after the festival. 

  • Have the ability to take photos in the field with a camera or cell phone and provide those to EAC the week following the festival. 

  • Have access to a cell phone for emergencies.  

  • Some familiarity with West Marin/Marin/Sonoma culture, geography, and directions. 

  • We will follow the County of Marin Public Health Guidance during the event. No COVID restrictions are in place now.

Saturday Social Volunteers

Saturday Social volunteers will assist with event set up, breakdown, and staffing.

Saturday Social Volunteer Requirements

  • Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and sign a liability event waiver.

  • Be able to multi-task in an indoor/outdoor environment with various elements, personality types, and climates. 

  • Be physically able to lift, and move event items up to 20-30 pounds or in tandem with other volunteers.  

  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a friendly and positive attitude and able to provide basic customer service.

  • Be able to take direction from EAC Staff, Board, or keynote event staff.

  • Have transportation to and from the event.

  • We will follow the County of Marin Public Health Guidance during the event. No COVID restrictions are in place now.
